The Columbus Community Center serves people with disabilities by providing residential services, day activity programs, and training and employment services. The center serves people from 16 to retirement age.

The Community Foundation for the Disabled (CFD) was founded in 1968 by a group of parents who wanted more and better choices for their disabled children. Today, the CFD, in collaboration with the Salt Lake City School District, operates the Columbus Community Center. No other service provider in Salt Lake County addresses such a broad spectrum of needs for people with disabilities—from residential services, to day programs, to training and employment opportunities. |

The Columbus Community Center believes that every individual with disabilities has the right to develop to his or her full potential. The center does this by supporting each person in recognizing and achieving his or her aspirations and goals.
The Columbus Community Center supports the growth, development, and independence of persons with disabilities through education, rehabilitation programs, and work opportunities.
